5 Things To Boost Your Brain Power

5 Things To Boost Your Brain Power – Your intelligence is the most complex part of your mind.It involves various mental abilities:

  • Reasoning
  • Problem solving
  • Understanding
  • Abstract thinking

Using all four of these mental abilities is what helps people make discoveries, solve complex problems, and even invent new products.

Your brain is like any other part of your body; you have to use it and exercise it to make it stronger. If you’d like to boost your brain power, there are some things you can do daily to get the most of your brain.

Water Your Brain

While you’re sleeping, you don’t eat or drink for at least six hours, and your brain needs water to function at its full potential. If you brain doesn’t have enough water, the balance between water and other necessary elements in brain is thrown off. This means your brain cells aren’t as effective as they could be.

Water your brain by drinking a glass of water, or maybe two, first thing in the morning. This will give your brain the boost it needs to start your day.

Take Daily Naps

Sleeping helps refresh your brain.

Studies have shown that napping in the afternoon can increase your brain function, productivity, alertness, and your leaning speed. Even a short nap, about 10 to 20 minutes, can help you stay focused for the rest of the day.

Take a Walk

Make time to go outside and take a walk each day. Whether you go out and take stroll at lunch or have a nice walk after your evening meal, walking outdoors has several benefits:

  • Increases circulation, which helps the brain function
  • Calms the mind, allows you to think more clearly
  • Increase your intake of oxygen
  • Read a Book

Reading is an excellent, active exercise for your brain.

When you read your brain is actively creating images of what you are reading.

When you watch TV your brain is not actively taken in information.

The pictures and sounds are right there in front of you, so you don’t use your imagination.

So, pick a book instead of turning on the television.

Play Games

Playing games increases brain activity and keeps you thinking. Crossword puzzles and word finds are two examples of games that can help sharpen mind.

But, did you know that playing video games is also a good way to exercise your brain. Being actively involved with the game keeps you thinking and plotting.

While it’s not a good idea to spend your whole day playing video games, an hour a day could help boost your brain power.

Actively using your brain daily is not likely to make you a genius, but it can help boost your brain’s ability to reason, think critically, and understand new concepts or ideas. You’ll never know the full potential of your brain, until you start actively using it.

Try these tips and you’ll be amazed how doing little things each day can expand your mind.
